Getting Ready for Christmas

Last Saturday, we went and to get our Christmas Tree. Lucas helped pick it out and helped Daddy set it up. On Sunday evening, Lucas helped Mama put the lights on the tree.

Once the lights were on, we added his newest ornament, a sock monkey, from Aunt Lisa. He loves seeing the monkey on the tree. However, it doesn't stay on the tree very long. He likes to take it off and carry it around. You always know when he has the monkey because he will make monkey noises.

Although Lucas likes to take the monkey off the tree, he hasn't quite figured out how to put it back on. Usually he tries to sit him in the tree then is very upset when the monkey falls on the floor. At that point, he has to get someone to help him hang the monkey back on the tree. That only last for a few seconds before the monkey is off again.

On Tuesday night, we started adding decorations. As fast as mom and dad put them on the tree, Lucas took them off. He doesn't quite understand why we put balls on the tree when they really belong in the basketball hoop.

We finally got the tree decorated. After some help from Lucas to rearrange the ornaments, we had a few holes but he is really enjoying his tree.
