30 weeks old

Lucas is 30 weeks old today. This has been a rough week for Lucas. He has had a cold and has not been able to go to daycare. Tomorrow he will finally return to daycare and will be moving up to the next room. He will be moving from the infant room to the 6 month to 12 month baby room. We can't wait to see what new things he starts to learn.

Lucas received this tool box toy from his Great Aunt Jane for Christmas. It has taken him awhile to understand exactly what he is supposed to do to make the songs play. For weeks he has been watching us push the buttons. The other day, he sat down and just started pushing the buttons and laughing at the lights. He hasn't quite figured out the hammer part yet but he does like to hold the hammer and "eat" it.

We thought it would be fun to see how Lucas would do with a sippy cup. Before dinner one evening, I put some water in his cup and helped him take a sip. He made a face that said "this is the most awful thing I have ever tasted". I left it on his tray to see if he would try to it himself. He put his hands under the tray and gave me the look below. We decided we would wait and try again next week.
